India became the world's largest covid vaccine campaign

The Union Department of Health on Sunday said the rate of daily access to Covid-19 in India had doubled from 8 percent to 16.69 percent in the past 12 day.

Prior to vaccination, the Department of Health said India had only 92 days to reach 12 crore vaccines, the fastest country to do so.

It is followed by the US which took 97 days and China took 108 days.

The total number of Covid-19 vaccines administered in the country has exceeded 12 crore as part of the world's largest vaccination campaign, it said.

Collectively, 12,26,22,590 vaccination doses have been administered 18,15,325 times, as an interim report until 7am till date 17 April 2021
