India has reported 2,61,500 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,501 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to data from the Union Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the country is now 1,47,88,109.

There are currently 18,01,316 active cases while 1,28,09,643 people have been diagnosed with the disease.

The death toll has risen to 1,77,150.

A total of 12,26,22,590 people have been vaccinated so far.
